Privacy Policy
BatchGrab is a Chrome extension that finds downloadable files on web pages and saves them to your computer. This policy explains what information BatchGrab handles and why. In short: BatchGrab has no account, no analytics and no ads, and it never sends your browsing data to us.
1. Information processed on your device
- Page content you ask BatchGrab to scan. When you click the BatchGrab icon (or choose "All tabs in window"), BatchGrab reads the links, image and media addresses, link text and the page title of those pages so it can list the files. This happens only inside your browser. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
- The files you download. Your browser downloads the files you select directly from the websites that host them, just like a normal download. In ZIP mode, BatchGrab fetches the selected files from those websites and builds the ZIP on your computer.
- Settings and download history. Your save options (folder, name pattern and similar) are stored in Chrome's extension storage on your device. Pro users also get a download history (page title, page address, number of files and date) that stays on your device; you can clear it at any time from the History window, and it is removed when you uninstall BatchGrab.
2. Information sent to a third party: Pro license checks
If you buy BatchGrab Pro, the purchase is handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and order details under its own privacy policy; we never see your card details.
When you activate Pro, BatchGrab sends your license key and a short activation name (for example "BatchGrab 2026-10-24") to the Lemon Squeezy License API over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Every few days BatchGrab sends the license key and its activation ID again to confirm that the license is still valid, and when you remove the license from a browser it tells Lemon Squeezy so the activation slot is freed. BatchGrab stores the license key, the activation ID and the store and product numbers on your device. It does not store your name or email address.
3. What we do not do
- We do not collect, sell or share your browsing history or the content of the pages you visit.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising or remote code.
- We do not use your data for any purpose other than BatchGrab's single purpose: finding and downloading the files you choose.
- We do not use or transfer data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
The use of information by BatchGrab complies with the Chrome Web Store Program Policies, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Permissions
- activeTab and scripting: to read the list of files on the page you are viewing, only after you click the BatchGrab icon.
- downloads: to save the files you select and give them the folder and file names you chose.
- storage: to remember your settings, Pro license and download history on your device.
- Access to api.lemonsqueezy.com: to activate and check a Pro license.
- Optional access to all websites: requested only when you use "All tabs in window" or "Save as one ZIP", so BatchGrab can scan your open tabs or fetch the selected files. You can withdraw it at any time in Chrome's extension settings.
5. Data retention and your choices
All data BatchGrab keeps stays on your device until you clear it or uninstall the extension. To remove your license from a browser, open BatchGrab settings (gear icon) and choose "Remove license from this browser". For questions about your purchase data, contact Lemon Squeezy or us.
6. Children
BatchGrab is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
